I am a Keynote, Inspirational Speaker and Mentor working with corporations and companies to help them drive better performance from their teams, and better results for the bottom-line.
Whether I’m speaking at a conference or running a Workshop at an event, I take people outside of their comfort zones, inspiring them to achieve more, by providing the practical tools and methods needed for action.
I do this by sharing my own business knowledge, real-world commercial experience and personal sporting examples in an accessible and engaging way; all delivered with a healthy dose of humility and creativity.
As someone who operates at board level, has built and continues to run two successful wealth management businesses and managed the performance of high-flying teams, I’m used to being measured and delivering results.

I’ve learned how to achieve exceptional results through determination, focus and above all, by following a robust plan. Not only has this approach worked in business but it also helped me attain a 3rd Dan Black Belt in karate (despite being stiff as a board) and completing an Ironman although I was hopeless at swimming.
As an Inspirational Speaker, my aim is not to rally the troops with some entertaining after-dinner stories that fade by next month’s team meeting. It’s to fire up their desire to improve and provide a practical framework to bring about change or improved performance, whatever that means for you or your business.
I don’t dust down and trot out a standard speech for every engagement. My content is always developed specifically to your challenges and goals.

My clients often tell me that their teams are very good at having meetings about meetings: discussing a problem, without actually doing anything about it. That in itself is demotivating.
My geared approach to performance (GAP) uses practical tools and techniques that propel people into action, and puts control measures in place to ensure you stay on track. Most importantly it challenges the reasons behind the objectives because they need to be properly defined and meaningful for you to deliver on them.
It drives better performance from your teams, leading to greater efficiencies and bottom-line results.
The morning after I’ve been speaking at your conference or event, there are two things your team is likely to wake up with: the obligatory hangover and a purpose.
We’ve all been to Conferences where morning brings a headache and the foggy memory of an entertaining speech. But all too often, when the hangover fades, so does any motivation or intention stirred up.
The feedback I consistently receive is of the impact that’s felt the next morning, and that leads to action in the days, weeks and months after my presentation. In between trying to get the eggs and bacon down, the team are already formulating an action plan.
And that’s what I’m all about – inspiring people into action straight away, and sustaining it – not providing a few anecdotes to be quoted at dinner parties.
I’ve never excelled at sport. I was the 6th man in a 6-man team in tennis, but I went on to be a Professional Tennis Coach. I was a poor swimmer but set myself the goal of completing an Ironman competition and then a 10km swim – all achieved. I am living proof of what you can achieve with a meaningful objective, robust controls, a focused plan and the right mindset.
One of the reasons I get such great results from people is because they see that I’m just like them. I’m not an elite sportsman or a top academic. I’m just an ordinary guy who has been able to do extra-ordinary things. And that makes people realise that success is attainable with the right mind set and approach.
